At Atavus, we equip players and coaches with the tools to elevate performance, build confidence, and enhance safety on the field. Centered on a shoulder-led tackling technique, our data-driven approach transforms how football is coached and played.
Originally founded as Serevi Rugby in 2010 and rebranded as Atavus in 2011, our journey began by introducing rugby principles to athletes across sports. In 2015, we became Atavus Football and pivoted our focus to American football, partnering with the Seattle Seahawks to adapt our tackling techniques to the gridiron. During this time, we also collaborated with elite programs like the Washington Huskies and Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Atavus Tackle System™ is built on shoulder-led technique, emphasizing contact with the runner using the near shoulder. Our near-foot, near-shoulder approach removes the head from contact to improve player safety and build confidence in tackling. Our data-driven technique is based on the analysis of over 100,000 tackles and is proven to make athletes safer and play a better game.
Reduce missed tackles and improve performance through data-driven analysis.
