Atavus Team, Sep. 14, 2020
Atavus, the world’s leading authority on tackling technique, player performance analysis, and coaching consultation, announced today that it has formed a partnership with Coach Stone Football & Gridiron Australia, the governing body of American football in Australia. The organizations will focus on improving performance and player safety among football players, through Coach Stone Football’s Coaching Accreditation Program.
Gridiron Australia coaches will complete Atavus’s Tackling Certification, as part of Coach Stone Football’s Coaching Accreditation Program. With over 3,100 athletes across more than 120 teams, the Atavus tackling system will increase player safety by educating coaches on tackling technique.
“When I first met with Gridiron Australia to discuss what they wanted from me in a Coaching Accreditation Course, I immediately knew Atavus would complement the course to fulfill their vision,” said Coach Anthony Stone. “I continually refer organizations to the Atavus Tackling System because they offer a consistent platform with a proven track record.”
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Gridiron Australia and Coach Stone because Atavus is aligned with their core beliefs and mission,” said Kerry Carter, Vice President of Operations of Atavus. “The game of football is global. We are excited to work with Gridiron Australia as they take the lead in making sure their coaches have the best resources available to coach a safer and more effective technique.”
For the last five years, Atavus has educated coaches and players at all skill levels, working with elite college football programs such as Michigan State University, Rutgers University, University of Cincinnati, and the University of Oklahoma. Atavus has also worked with numerous high schools, and in 2018 was chosen to design and implement a program for the Texas High School Coaches Association for its members to become certified in the best practices in teaching tackling.
